Rear marker plate – Category 31L

This Category 31L rear marker plate provides overtaking instructions to other motorists. It is used in conjunction
with Category 33 or strip plates (41, 81, 161 and 615).

A Category 31L rear marker plate features black letters reading DO NOT OVERTAKE TURNING VEHICLE on a yellow retroreflective background.

• 300mm x 100mm
• Class 1 (Class 400) retroreflective
• Aluminium
• Designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of AS4001.1:2017 Part 1: Reflective rear marker plates – Classification and manufacturing requirements
• Can also be supplied as a Class 400 self-adhesive label

Configuration requirements for vehicles > 7.5m in length that straddle turning lanes:*:

Fit the rear marker plate to the left-hand side of the rear of the vehicle when a 34 (left) marking plate is not used.

Recommended for vehicles > 7.5m in length:
Fit the rear marker plate to the left-hand side of the rear of the vehicle when a 34A marking plate is not used.
