Oil spill response training course name:
The control, containment and clean up of oil spills on land and coastal waters (Level 1)

This oil spill training course will provide an understanding of the concerns that management and other relevant authorities have towards environmental damage caused by oil spills.
The different types of absorbents that are available on the market and their individual characteristics are noted and discussed.

This spill response training course has been used for over 20 years as the primary induction and safety course for mining and oil and gas companies around Australia. It has been designed to arm responders with the skills to safely handle most hydrocarbon spills (oil and fuel) in most situations that they may be faced with. The course is delivered via a PowerPoint presentation which includes animation and video demonstrations. The session also includes hands-on clean ups to reinforce lessons learned. Each participant receives a detailed, full colour textbook which elaborates further on each topic covered, and contains further reading on the larger equipment also used for oil spills on water.
