Global started manufacturing absorbents for oil and chemical spills in 1991, and today, supplies the Australian market with a comprehensive range of environmental products, including polypropylene absorbents for oil and chemical spills, and a range of oil skimmers, oil containment booms, and oil/water separation systems. Global has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and a  large network of distributors and resellers throughout  Australia and New Zealand.

Customers include an extensive list of the leading companies in the Oil and Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, Logistics, Maritime, Construction and Service industries. Global Spill Control exports products to over 30 countries throughout Asia, The Middle East, Africa and even Europe.  Over the years the company has expanded its product base by developing a range of skimmers, oil containment booms, self erecting tanks, oil/water separators, collapsible barges and many other items.

Global Spill Controls manufacturing facility and head office boasts an impressive floor area of 3200m2 (35,000sq ft) and consists of 5 divisions:

1. Absorbents and spill containment

2. Oil containment boom fabrication
(high frequency fabric welding)

3.   Metal fabrication and mechanical
      (stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel) of skimmers, 
      boom reels, power packs, oil/water separators etc.

4. Chemical Technology
(quick break detergents, organic sanitizers etc.)

5.    Electronics
       (building automation & safety products)

Over 95% of products are manufactured in-house, ensuring strict quality control, swift despatching of orders and competitive pricing . This simple philosophy has ensured that customers receive their orders quickly and with a minimum of fuss.

In addition to the supply of products Global provides a range of services including oil and chemical spill response training, site inspections, risk assessment and audit reports using the companies proprietary software programme Ecomanager.  Global Spill Control also provides an environmental engineering and problem solving service to companies with environmental issues surrounding their waste water and effluent treatment.
